The firm was founded in 2017 by Muhammad Saloojee who has in excess of 24 years experience working in the tax and legal field, 19 of which was at one of the Big Four accounting firms. Muhammad is an admitted attorney and a specialist tax lawyer and is recognized as a market leader in the area of corporate taxation. Muhammad is often requested to present at tax conferences and seminars and has been quoted in the media on various tax issues.

Whilst Muhammad has experience in all areas of corporate taxation, he has specialized expertise in mining taxation and has serviced mining clients including mining majors, junior miners, mining exploration companies and mining services entities. Muhammad has had the privilege of presenting on specific mining tax topics at previous Joburg Mining and Junior Indabas, and has  been a guest lecturer at the University of the Witwatersrand’s Mining Tax course. Muhammad has also been quoted in various mining publications on specific mining related tax matters.

Muhammad has always been a champion of transformation and diversity in the field of tax. Muhammad’s passion for empowering black tax professionals has in a many ways contributed towards diversifying the tax profession in South Africa. When leading one of the Big Four’s tax department in Saudi Arabia back in 2008, Muhammad made the bold move of hiring, for the first time ever, Saudi females into the tax practice – a move which at that stage was seen as ground-breaking.
